Many like Bill O'Reilly. I do. I like his straight forwardness and willing to confront others to get the facts, much like CBS' Mike Wallace. While the "spin" usually stops with Bill O'Reilly in his nightly newscast, now it stops on him, as just another person. But, it must be difficult living with him.

Maureen McPhilmy and Bill were married sometime around 1996. Like most marriages, things were fine for many years. They have two kids, ages, 13 and 10. Life for the very rich was idyllic, how could it not? Plenty of money, living in huge estates and fancy cars. However, for Maureen, discontent happened and what was thought as eternal love became living hell and she began having an affair with a Nassau County detective, that ironically, Bill made large donations to. When Bill found out, because he had made large donations to the Nassau County Poilce, he wanted the Chief of Police to do something about it. It was his way of harassing her via her new lover. But Bill (60), himself, in 2004, had his own sordid sexually affair with NBC producer, Andrea Mackris (38), whom he repeatedly and vividly sexually harassed with threats, according to NBC staffers. It got so bad that Andrea filed a lawsuit against Bill for sexual harassment. Facing embarrassment and guilt, Bill settled the case out of court, buying her silence for a hefty sum.

The couple separated and a divorce was filed in April, 2010 and by September 2011, a divorce granted with 50\50 custody on alternate weeks. The court appointed a neutral therapist or act as a mediator. But, in just two months later, Maureen took Bill back to court claiming the court appointed therapist was actually being paid by Bill and earning a six-figure income! In effect, she was household member of Bill's new household when the kids were with him (another word is a "nanny"). The court agreed with her and it had altered the fairness of any mediation.

The divorce became odder in 2013, in that, Maureen, got remarried soon afterwards to the detective Gary Gross. Bill, then, tried to get the marriage annulled (as if it never happened!) and tried to get the Catholic Church to excommunicate her because she took communion in the local parish. Bizarre, who cares? Right? Well, Bill donates $65,000 to the Catholic parishes, so his requests have some weight!

As details about the divorce filter out, one new revelation is that Bill's oldest daughter, now 16, stated to have witnessed her father dragging her mother down a staircase by her neck, apparently unaware that the daughter was watching. This startling revelation came out last year and occurred in 2010.

Will Bill now face charges of domestic abuse? Probably not. Maureen never charged him with that and like any bad divorce, it is abuse enough. Everyone will forever be scarred in some way.
